We are seeking an outstanding, inspirational and ambitious Teacher of Science to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional classroom practitioner to inspire curiosity and scientific enquiry, foster critical thinking and innovation, and contribute fully to the academic, pastoral and co-curricular life of the College.

Responsibilities
Deliver outstanding Science teaching across Years 7-13, including IGCSE and IB Diploma programmes.
Teach Key Stage 3 Science and, where appropriate, a specialist discipline at IGCSE and IB level.
Foster pupils' curiosity, analytical thinking and practical scientific skills.
Create an engaging, inclusive and academically rigorous learning environment where all pupils can thrive.
Monitor pupil progress and attainment through effective assessment, feedback and target setting.
Support pupils through pastoral care and form tutor responsibilities.
Contribute to curriculum development and the growth of the Science department.
Lead and support STEM enrichment opportunities, competitions and co-curricular activities.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to uphold the Brighton College values of Curiosity, Confidence and Kindness.
Contribute actively to safeguarding, wellbeing and the wider life of the College.


Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or a related scientific discipline, with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification preferred. However, candidates with substantial relevant teaching experience will also be considered.
Ability to teach Science across Key Stage 3, with expertise in at least one specialist subject area.
Experience teaching GCSE/IGCSE Science.
Experience of teaching the IB Diploma Programme is desirable.
Proven track record of delivering excellent teaching and strong examination outcomes.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science education.
Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
Experience working with pupils for whom English is an additional language is advantageous.
International school experience or an international outlook is desirable.
