Rich History
What started as an ancient fishing village is now the largest city in Sussex. Archaeological evidence shows that mammoths used to roam the shores; an important Iron Age fort sits to the north of the city; and the Prince Regent established the city as his recreational base in the 18th century.
Small City with Big Connections
There is always plenty to do in Brighton & Hove, but with the perks of small-town living. You can reach any part of the city within 30 minutes by bus or cycle. But if you are looking for bigger adventures, it is just a 30-minute train ride to Gatwick Airport, and a 50-minute train ride to London.
